My Description
My Name is Danny McBride and I was born in Northampton in the U.K. in the early hours of the third of September 1982. I am aproximatly 6 foot 1 inch tall and weigh around 12 stones. I have size twelve feet and thats why one of my nicknames is Bigfoot ! I also have blue eyes and quite long brown hair although at the moment I have blond highlights. I normally wear clothes like jeans, trainers and shirts. I also like wearing my fleece. So perhaps now you can recognise me in the street.
My Family
There are five people and two animals in my immediate family. I have a father, mother, brother, sister, cat and dog. My mum's name is Bridgid she is 35 and was born in London. She is a very nice person but she smokes too much ! She likes the same kind of music as I do but instead of buying her own cd's she nicks mine. She can also be unreliable sometimes when it comes to promises. My Dad's name is Alan, he was born in Sunderland although he was brought up in Northern Ireland. He is 37 and has just moved back to Newcastle after working in London for a year. He is reliable but reminds me too much of Docter Kennedy from Neighbours. He is a nice man though. My Brother Michael is 10 and was born in Milton Keynes. He is a bit fat and goofy but is fun and always plays his computer with me. My Sister's name is Rosie, she is 6 and was also born in Milton Keynes. She is annoying and not much fun but she is sweet I suppose. My sister's cat Tom is the most annoying creature on Earth. He is so arrogant and just walks in my room without waiting for me to say he can come in. He always begs for food too. My Dog's name is Emmet he is 4 years old and is a minature Daschund (sausage dog). He is the cutest animal in the world and has the cutest eyes you have ever seen. I will try to post pictures of my family soon.
Newcastle upon Tyne
I have only been living in Newcastle for just over a year but I can tell you already that it is one of the nicest city's on earth. Newcastle has a population of about 250,000 people and over 3,000,000 live in the surrounding area. Newcastle is near the sea and has some fantastic beaches like the one at South Sheilds but you would have to be brave to go into the freezing water ! Newcastle also has lots of parkland including the world famous Town Moor and Jesmond Dene. It also has a lovely town centre and some world famous bridges, for more information about Newcastle upon Tyne go to Yahoo and search for Newcastle upon Tyne I would reccomend a visit anyday even if the weather here is so un-predictible.
Local Football (soccer) Teams
In the North East of England there are three premier league football (soccer to you yanks) teams. They are Newcastle United, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. Newcastle play in Black and White and their stadium is called St James Park. It is being expanded at the moment and will soon have 51000 seats. Newcastle started this season poorly but have recently improved under new coach Bobby Robson. Newcastle Utd are famous for breaking the world transfer fee record when they signed Alan Shearer for £15 million ( million) from Blackburn. He is the local hero. Sunderland's record transfer is a comparitively small £3.75 million ( million) for Stefan Scwarz from Valencia. Sunderland play at the Stadium of Light. It currently holds 42000 but will soon be increased to 63000 it is recognised as one of the worlds best stadiums. Newcastle and Sunderland supporters hate each other a lot! Sunderland are currently third in the premier league 16 places above Newcastle. To see a picture of the Stadium of Light see the Photo Page. The other club are Middlesbrough but I can't be bothered to talk about them at the moment. By the way I support Sunderland as my Great Uncle played for them. His name is Bill McClerkin and played in goal. I'm a Sunderland season ticket holder. It's not easy to be a Sunderland Fan living and working in Newcastle ! I also like Leeds United.
My favourite Bands
My favourite bands are U2, Oasis, Semisonic, Pulp, Suede and many more. I like all Indie bands and my favourite songs are Supersoinic by Oasis and Sweetest Thing by U2 I like most Rock and Indie songs though.
